Champion has been around for over 20 years and we have clients who still rave about their juicer. This is build of a powerful 1/3 horsepower heavy duty GE motor. The large 1.75" diameter feeding tube allows it to take in larger vegetables without cutting them. The floating cutter is designed to separate the juice from the pulp all in one continuous operation with little to no intermittent cleaning. The blades are made of tempered stainless steel that are cast into the cutter for strength and years of use. They never separate or rust! The Champion is also a very versatile machine and can juice all types of fruits and vegetables, but cannot juice wheatgrass. If you are looking for a wheatgrass juicer that can also do fruits and vegetables, 877MyJuicer.com recommends theLexen Electric Healthy Juicer. The Champion household is great for those juicing once to a few times a day. If you are needing more than that, we suggest theChampion Commercial (G5-PG-710). So far, so good! Apr 18, 2010
By Seattle Sue I have only had the Champion household juicer for about a month now but am using it daily and really like it! We have tried many different fruits and veggie drinks with much success. I usually make juice for the four of us every morning, and my kids love waking up to fresh tasty juices. We also have made sorbets for dessert--yum! My only negative experience so far is that while trying to make almond meal, the motor really heated up and started to smell. The heat from the motor affected the flavor of the small amount of almond paste I did create. I haven't tried any other nuts for fear of burning out the motor. If you mainly want great tasting fruit and vegetable juice, I would highly recommend it!

As it's called: Champion Nov 26, 2011
By Paul Starrs I've had a Champion juicer, essentially this same model, for about fifteen years. How's it work? It's a workhorse: Basically a huge electric motor, and you attach the masticator (a system of grinding blades) to the axle / shaft that comes out of the motor. There's a cover that goes over that, a wooden push-rod, and at the bottom, a screen that slides in place under a cover. The screen can be fine, or coarser. It goes and goes. This isn't one of the centrifugal juicers that produces ultra-fine juice; what this does it make it possible to process 150 pounds of tomatoes into juice and pulp (the pulp has to go into a handy bowl, the juice into another -- a little awkward, but you figure it out). My family and I then take the juice and put it onto the stove and cook it down to sauce. Handy, indeed.
You can do the same for carrots, cucumbers, you name it, to make into juice and drink raw. This is great for raw food folks (I'm not one, especially, but I like my vegetable and fruit juices, and this makes consuming them easy). Lettuce and greens can go in too; apples go in, quartered -- although not strictly advisable, I let the seeds go through, too; they get spat out the other end, and the juice is clean and tasty. And it goes and goes ... you get the idea.
Only problem is the plastic parts. Use the Champion juicer a whole lot, and eventually the plastic starts to go. I killed off the funnel-hopper (cracked) -- but that's easy to replace on-line from Champion or through Amazon. You do need to remember to put some vegetable shortening on the shaft or it can be a real bugger to get the macerating blade removed where it slips onto the shaft -- I've killed a couple of knives trying to lever the blade off, which is necessary for cleaning.
Gucci-styled it's not. Storage is a bit of an issue (mine lives under the microwave), and it weighs a chunk. But it also has never broken, rarely heated up, and, yes, "goes and goes." That, after all, is what I bought it for. No Ron Popeil advertising for this. It's time tested, long on performance, relatively easy to clean, and short on style.

Great Juicer! May 08, 2009
By K. Dyer I bought this exact model of juicer two years ago and have been very satisfied with the juicing results. My pulp comes out very dry and we get a lot of juice out of each fruit or vegetable. I've juiced spinach, beet greens and chard. Today I juiced wheat grass for the first time which worked, but was not entirely what I expected: it came out really thick. Perhaps there's a trick for juicing wheatgrass I'm not aware of. However, I'm undeterred and will try again tomorrow.
Overall: this machine is really great. I'm super happy with it and purchase it all over again.

Best Juicer available Apr 20, 2012
By Brent 30 years ago, I purchased my first Champion Juicer - for $400.00. I just purchased my second one - with 2 added attachments - for only $230.00, and I couldn't be happier. The difference most people haven't been taught is this: all other juicers 'centrifuge' the veggies, reversing the ions in the juice - not recommended by nutritionists. The Champion Juicer only GRINDS veggies, leaving the ions in their natural state - extremely more beneficial with no adverse effects on the juice's ions. I highly recommend the Champion juicer, and I'm glad to have found it available AT A MUCH LOWER COST AFTER 30 YEARS!
