I am so glad i purchased this item through amazon. I saved a great amount compared to what I use to pay at my local store where I bought my refrigerator. I also trust the PUR brand compared to others. I will continue to purchase this filter from now on.

I've tried multiple different water filters for my refrigerator. Most of them (even the more expensive) have a really odd taste that only goes away over time. Sometimes it takes a week for that strange taste to go away. The PUR filter is good, right out of the box. I always run the prescribed 3 gallons of water through the filter first too. I'm sticking with PUR.
