A bunch of Splenda recipes Nov 12, 2007
By Alaina Larsen I was looking for creative dessert recipes with wholesome alternatives to sugar. This book just featured Splenda as a sugar substitute in nearly every recipe, and I don't like to use chemical, artificial sugars.
A better book with wholesome low sugar dessert recipes is "Get the Sugar Out" by Ann Louis Gittleman, in which she discusses several wholesome sugar substitutes such as fructose, blackstrap molasses, date "sugar", sucanat, fruits and more. She also provides several dessert recipes featuring these more wholesome forms of sugar.
chemical sugar cookbook Dec 15, 2011
By wiser4sure Bought this book for diabetic cooking. I wanted NO SUGAR or chemical substitutions. This book was useless. I'd like to make some "standard " recipes using gluten free, SUGAR FREE, healthy ingredients. This wasn't it.
Cookbook Jul 21, 2010
By drgreco My husband is a diabetic who doesn't take insulin. I was looking more for low carb than no sugar. Didn't fit what I needed - but a friend of my liked it.
No-Sugar Cookbook Dec 12, 2008

"rapid reader"
I was disapointed in this cookbook.
It has listed many odd ingredients with no reference as to where to find such odd items, or what they are.
I do not recommend this book for the general public.
