Easy to understand Jul 05, 2010 This book has great information on why you should drink more water. It explains how the body uses water at the cellular level that is easy to understand and a benefit to those who want to lead a healthier life. I just wish I had this information in my 20's not my 50's.
Excellent Book May 12, 2010 I'm into the health food movement like a lot of people nowdays. Unfortunately most books and programs don't cover all of the many ways to get and stay healthy. Although the above book listed is an excellent resource. It's like most authors and programs are trying to be too pc (politically correct). To correct myself a little, most health advice, programs, books and supplements usually offer pretty good advice these days. You know:
1. Don't alcohol
2. Don't abuse drugs
3. Don't smoke (cigaretts and the like)
4. Eat move live fresh fruits and vegetables.
5. Eat less process foods and meats.
Now all of this is good advice, although there is a right way and wrong way to do anything. I saw an excellent book with a good 8 step plan. Search Amazon for: The Magic Of Mother Nature's Healing Foods. I liked it.
Water Feb 12, 2010 Astonishing, that's the right word to this book! I recommend it for all people who deserves a better quality of living.
Hugely important idea, poor writing Feb 08, 2010 "Dr. Batman," as he is called in this country, makes a dramatic case for the most important ingredient that we ingest (after air)--water. Imprisoned as an intellectual in his native Iran, he successfully treated many of his fellow prisoners with the only medicine at his disposal--water.
We're fortunate that he was able to immigrate to this country, where he carries on his water-is-life crusade, making a case for much of America's poor health being our addiction to soda.
Dr. Batman is a great crusader and great physician, but he's not American-Iran's answer to Faulkner. His book starts wout with a bang, then begins to get repetitive in chapters 3 and 4. By chapter 5, you've got the message, and can move on to the specific disease you're interested in the later chapters.
The good news is that you get some of the most important information of your life in 30-40 minutes of reading, then can go to specific chapters and complete your Dr. Batman course in an hour or so.

Saving rainforests = saving water! Dec 20, 2009 I love this book and am so grateful to Dr. B. for sharing his knowledge of our body's need for HYDRATION! It's made a huge difference for me. (If you've ever been in the hospital, ever notice how much just the IV helps?!)
HOWEVER, it's hard to overlook the fact that many places around the world are suffering from water shortages.
In a nutshell, rainforest trees make the clouds that make the rains that water our whole world.
Taking care of our trees protects our fresh water supply!
