 Same as Kenmore 9002 but cheaper! Nov 26, 2011

If you are worried that this isn't the same fit as the Kenmore 9002 as I was, fret no more.
Works just like the Kenmore filter in our Kenmore fridge except that we paid almost half of on Amazon than it would cost to buy it at Sears.
Water tastes great, and the new filter improved water flow.

Sorry folks, but I don't know if I got a lemon or what, but after following instructions on how to install the filter,etc, the end result was water tasting like plastic. The only way i can assume this happened is that the filter sat in the warehouse in the dog days of summer long before it came into the consumers hands. Too bad because it installed and was fine otherwise, but the taste cannot be ignored. Amazon had the best price for this but if I were you, I would probably buy locally if you can. Otherwise, it's a crapshoot in terms of knowing if you will get one that is free from plastic taste or not.

My old filter started leaking and the repairman wanted 40 dollars for a new one. I found the same filter on amazon.com for $29.95 and free shipping, that is alot of of savings. Fixed my water leak. Thanks Amazon.com.

THIS FILTER IS CHEAPTER THAN THE KENMORE FILTER I WAS PURCHASING BY HALF THE PRICE. I PURCHASED THIS FOR $26 AND I WAS SPENDING OVER $40 FOR THE KENMORE THAT IS THE SAME FILTER. GREAT PRODUCT.
